role overview: the social services supervisor/expert (sss/e) oversees 3–4 social services advisors managing approximately 50–60 residential cases and 20–30 aftercare cases. This position reviews order commitments, conducts demographic background interviews with parents or guardians to identify youth needs, makes monthly visits to all youth in their caseloads (approx. 40–50 cases), travels to 6–8 sites across the state and courts, conducts face‑to‑face visits, attends treatment team meetings, provides information through monthly case coordinator questionnaire forms, maintains contact with treatment team members, monitors treatment plan compliance, completes monthly social service advisor treatment team progress reports, reviews contracted program progress reports, coordinates meetings with providers, maintains compliance with dys/dcfs agreements, attends dcfs staffing meetings, assists with placement issues, completes required applications, submits treatment and procedure packets (asap, ejj, icj, dcfs, rra), files updated savry every six months, submits discharge summaries, initiates commitment order extensions, contacts courts for hearings, and serves as liaison with court officials, contracted programs, guardians and stakeholders.
The sss/e reports grievances and issues to quality assurance and must be thorough, knowledgeable, prepared and organized.
primary functions: this position functions as a juvenile case management supervisor. Knowledge of the juvenile justice system and prea standards preferred.

provide technical expertise in crisis management, program development, and inter‑agency collaboration.

minimum qualificationsminimum of four years of work experience in human services programs or public service work, including one year in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
