Arisa Health is seeking candidates to fill a Drug and Alcohol Safety Education Program (DASEP) Specialist position in Jonesboro, AR. The person who fills this position will be providing substance abuse education and serving the court system. Candidates should have experience in the psychology or criminal justice field. Candidates must be proficient with computers including Microsoft Word and Excel programs and must have excellent communication skills.
The ability to address individuals as well as groups is required. Candidates must be able to facilitate educational classes and interact in virtual (Zoom) or in‑person classrooms.
This position is classified as full‑time, non‑exempt (hourly) and reports to the Program Manager.
Work Hours:
Full time, Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Responsible for recruiting, screening, interviewing and training volunteers in their assigned counties to serve as advocates
- Assist volunteers in all aspects of advocacy
- Should have considerable knowledge of community resources and services available to children and families
- Complete appropriate records and documentation
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate's degree is preferred
- Experience with substance abuse treatment is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred
