Overview

We are currently seeking a 2 nd Shift Transportation Coordinator at our Distribution Center in Jonesboro. The Transportation Coordinator serves as a vital liaison between our company, logistical carriers, integration partners, and customers. This role requires a detail-oriented and communicative professional who can manage and schedule transportation activities efficiently while delivering exceptional support and problem-solving in a fast-paced logistics environment.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of transportation processes, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and be committed to ensuring customer satisfaction and seamless delivery operations.

Responsibilities
  • Carrier & Delivery Coordination:
    Schedule carriers for delivery of products and services. Act as the point of contact to provide logistical expertise, monitor progress, and resolve any transportation-related issues as they arise
  • Communication & Relationship Management:
    Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with carriers, integration partners, and customers through responsive, clear, and interactive communication
  • Customer & Partner Support:
    Identify and address service needs and concerns from logistics carriers, integration partners, and customers to ensure timely and effective resolution and a high level of satisfaction
  • Documentation & Compliance:
    Prepare accurate shipping documents including bills of lading, export documentation, and other necessary paperwork to ensure smooth transportation processes and regulatory compliance
  • Data Management & Reporting:
    Manage and track high volumes of emails, calls, and shipments. Record and report on transportation activity, performance metrics, and issue resolution efforts
  • Freight Management:
    Track, document, and report on freight quotes, claims, and storage fees. Review and evaluate freight, rental, and equipment invoices, and submit for approval to the Logistics Manager
  • Problem Resolution:
    Analyze transportation issues, develop appropriate solutions, and follow through to ensure timely resolution. Maintain thorough documentation of issues and outcomes
  • Internal Coordination:
    Collaborate with internal departments to communicate logistics-related updates, concerns, or problems that may impact operations or customer satisfaction
  • Policy Compliance:
    Follow all established company procedures, communication protocols, and logistics policies to ensure consistency and compliance throughout all transportation-related activities
  • Additional Duties:
    Perform other logistics and transportation support tasks as assigned to meet department and company goals
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 7 to 11 months of hands‑on experience in a transportation, logistics, or supply chain coordination role
  • Experience handling freight coordination, transportation documents, and working with carriers or third‑party logistics providers is highly desirable
  • Prior experience managing high volumes of communication (calls/emails) and coordinating with multiple stakeholders is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer service orientation with strong problem‑solving abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and communication
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
  • Basic understanding of logistics documentation and transportation terminology
Education

High School Diploma or GED required. Additional education through night school, trade school, or correspondence programs equivalent to two years of college is preferred.
