Pay Range: $55 - $57/hour.
Key Responsibilities:- Schedule: 8‑hour day shifts (Monday–Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm)
- Expected Hours by Facility: 40 hours per week
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other intravenous infusions per established protocols.
- Perform patient assessments prior to and during infusions; monitor for adverse reactions and manage side effects.
- Insert and maintain peripheral IV lines; access and de‑access central lines (ports, PICC lines).
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, side effect management, and follow‑up care.
- Coordinate with oncologists, pharmacists, and support staff to ensure safe, efficient care.
- Adhere to ONS chemotherapy administration guidelines and safety standards.
- Respond to infusion‑related emergencies (extravasation, anaphylaxis, etc.) appropriately.
Experience:
- Must have skills: - Registered Nurse, RN, Oncology, Chemo Administration, BLS, OCN.
- Active RN License (GA or Compact State)
- AHA BLS certification (required)
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) or ONC certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in oncology nursing, specifically chemotherapy administration
- Outpatient oncology/infusion experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work 8 hour day shifts (Monday–Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm), 40 expected hours per week
- No local candidates within 50 miles (travel only)
- Strong IV skills, assessment, and patient education abilities
- Proficiency in chemotherapy administration and side effect management
- Strong knowledge of central line access and infusion protocols
- Excellent patient assessment and critical thinking
- Ability to work independently in an outpatient cancer care setting
