Facility Maintenance Tech - Facilities - Jonesboro/Lawrenceville/Conyers/Covington/Decatur, GA

Must have general knowledge of most building maintenance and repair tasks including but not limited to painting, dry wall repair, appliance repair, assembling furniture, changing light bulbs, and ballasts in light fixtures, basic plumbing, basic electrical and other miscellaneous duties. The individual selected must also be capable of driving a View Point Health vehicle and must have a clean driving record.

Under general supervision, performs a variety of semiskilled and skilled building trades work in the repair, maintenance or construction of state buildings and related structures. Installs and maintains security, climate control and other facilities systems.

· On call for assigned locations for maintenance emergencies after hours

· On call biweekly for company wide maintenance emergencies.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform minor repairs to walls (drywall), ceilings (tiles), floors, and doors/locks.
  • Assist with basic plumbing (faucets, drains), electrical (light fixtures, outlets), and HVAC system checks.
  • Conduct scheduled inspections, clean equipment, and perform basic preventative maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment or structures using hand/power tools.
  • Complete work orders, log maintenance activities, and track parts usage.
  • Help monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies.
  • Follow all company safety rules, report hazards, and set up safety equipment.
  • Assist with painting, repairing dry walls, repairing appliances, assembling furniture, changing light bulbs and ballasts in light fixtures, basic plumbing, basic electrical, and other miscellaneous tasks

Other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED AND Two (2) years of experience in building repairs and maintenance or in the specific area of assignment; OR One (1) year of experience at the lower-level General Trades Tech 1 (FET
030) or position equivalent.

Note:

Some positions may require area specific certifications/licenses.

Preferred Qualifications

· Three (3) years of job-related experience working as a Maintenance Technician.

· Solid documented experience performing building maintenance duties.
