Role Description
The Residential Painter role is a full-time, on-site position located in and around Jonesboro, GA, responsible for maintaining high-quality interior paint finishes across the community. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming walls, ceilings, trim, and doors, and applying paint using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment as appropriate. The painter will complete apartment turns, common area repaints, touch-ups, and special projects while ensuring work areas are safe, clean, and organized.
The role also involves reading basic work orders or drawings, coordinating with maintenance and management teams on scheduling, and using company tools and materials in accordance with safety guidelines and property standards.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Painting and Paint application, including interior and exterior surfaces.
- Experience with Spray Painting techniques and related equipment.
- Basic Carpentry abilities for minor repairs and surface preparation.
- Resurfacing tubs/enclosures, kitchen and bathroom countertops
- Ability to understand and follow simple Architectural Drawings or work specifications.
- Knowledge of proper surface preparation, masking, and cleanup practices.
- Commitment to safety, including use of ladders, protective gear, and safe handling of materials.
- Attention to detail, time management, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work on-site, move and lift materials, and perform tasks that may require standing, bending, and reaching.
- Prior residential or multifamily painting experience is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent and eligibility to work in the United States.
- Must have insured reliable transportation.
