Clayton County Public School Bus Coordinator
Coordinate the movement of Clayton County Public school buses assisting with daily transportation operations to include the following:
Provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholders via phone and Two-Way radio communication, Route coverage, Accident investigating, Record keeping, Data entry, Filing, Update parent portal communication, and all other duties assigned. This position reports to the Manager of Transportation
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for dispatching Transportation Fleet on a day-to-day basis
- Coordinate pupil transportation to and from school
- Handle first response emergencies and communication notifications
- Route tracking using GPS software and Parent Portal application
- Maintain transportation records
- Assist Transportation Supervisors with daily operations to include route coverage, bus assignments, bus referrals, and student management
- Customer service support responding and resolving stakeholders concerns
Key
Job Requirements:
High School/GED diploma required.
1-2 years' experience in a Transportation environment as a dispatcher, driver or router
Knowledge of Federal and State DOT regulatory standards; makes recommendations which affect the activities of others.
CDL Required (Will provide CDL certification if necessary)
Moderate decision making in collaboration with area supervisors and senior leadership.
Effectively communicate with Internal/External Stakeholders, excellent interpersonal skills, detail oriented, ability to multitask in a fast paced work environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office software
Requires regular, frequent contact with internal personnel of influence and decision-making responsibility to discuss issues of moderate importance. Excellent interpersonal skills are required for working with inter-organizational teams.

This is a grade 19, 225 day position that pays for experience up to a Step 4.
