WhatYou’ll Do
As a Senior Tax Manager, you will act as a trusted advisor to clients while leading complex tax engagements from planning through execution. This role is highly client-facing and involves reviewing sophisticated tax returns, providing strategic guidance, and mentoring a team of tax professionals. You will play a key role in developing client relationships, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and driving practice growth.
This position offers a clear path to Principal, with increasing leadership responsibility and the opportunity to influence the direction and expansion of the practice.
- Lead and manage client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for tax strategy and planning
- Review complex individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns for accuracy and compliance
- Deliver proactive tax planning and advisory services to help clients minimize liabilities and achieve financial goals
- Supervise, mentor, and develop tax staff and managers, including direct report responsibilities
- Manage multiple engagements, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met
- Identify opportunities to expand services within existing client relationships (advisory, planning, etc.)
- Support firm growth through business development and community involvement
- Collaborate with leadership on practice operations and long-term growth strategy
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Active CPA license required.
- 5+ years of progressive tax experience within a public accounting environment.
- Extensive experience reviewing complex tax returns and leading client engagements.
