Missouri Baptist University is looking to hire a part-time Administrative Assistant in the Provost’s office. The position of Administrative Assistant to the Provost is responsible for supporting the Provost and Provost office. This position is responsible for assisting with all operations including; calendar management, event coordination, meeting preparation, faculty hiring processes and all other administrative duties relating to faculty and academic affairs.
PrimaryDuties
- Assist the Provost’s administrative assistant to ensure timely and accurate processes are followed for various faculty related items including hiring, promotions, reappointments and committee assignments.
- Event management – assist with planning and execution of all Provost Office events i.e. Fall Faculty Conference, In‑Service Day, Outstanding Students of Achievement, Faculty Retirement Celebration and assisting with Commencement planning and execution.
- Assist in maintaining the Provost’s calendar, coordinating communications, meetings, agendas, scheduling, preparation of meeting materials and various reports.
- Provide administrative support for Vice Presidents for Academic and Graduate Affairs with meetings, accreditation, reports, strategic planning, and program economics and other special projects as assigned.
- Oversee and/or assist with the Provost Office budget and the budget process for all academic areas.
High School diploma and 3 years of administrative experience
Preferred Education/ExperienceBachelor’s degree and 5 years of administrative experience as well as experience working in higher education.
