Diamond Grove Christian Church is seeking a paid Children/Youth Summer Minister to serve our growing group of children ages 5–14. This position focuses on leading, discipling, and engaging neighborhood children through creative lessons, games, and worship throughout the summer. For the first two weeks, the summer minister will work under the supervision of Rowdy Lemley, Children/Youth Minister. For the remainder of the summer, the position will report directly to Bob Heath, Lead Pastor, who will provide ongoing support and oversight.
Rowdy will also remain available to check in and assist as needed.
- Planning and leading interactive games and activities
- Teaching engaging, age‑appropriate Bible lessons
- Leading worship songs (materials provided)
- Teaching a short Sunday School lesson (10:00 a.m.)
- Leading a main children’s lesson during the 11:00 a.m. Sunday service
- Teaching a Wednesday evening lesson (6:00–7:30 p.m.)
This role requires approximately two hours on Sundays and 1.5 hours on Wednesday evenings, along with preparation time throughout the week.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have a heart for children’s ministry, creativity in lesson planning, and a desire to build meaningful relationships with young people.
