Midcon Cables Company, a leading provider of cabling and wire interconnect solutions for the military and aerospace industry has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Engineer at our Joplin, MO facility.
Midcon incorporates new methods and technologies such as patented Everflex wire management system to provide value added solutions for interconnect applications.
Eligible candidates need a bachelor's degree in Engineering. 3-5 years’ experience in electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering is required. The manufacturing engineer will report directly to the Engineering Manager and will assist engineering by performing a variety of duties. These duties will include process work instruction development, enhancement, evaluation of manufacturing processes and initiating engineering change notices.
Must be proficient in the use of personal computers, windows-based programs and related software as required. Be able to work with Auto CAD and be familiar with other 3-D design software packages. Ability to work in a self-directed, cross-functional work team environment is a must. Customer communication may be required. Excellent written and organizational skills are a must. A strong project management background with emphasis in methods improvement and experience in providing hands-on manufacturing support are essential.
