Trane Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Preconstruction Leader primarily serving the Midwest a area, and supporting our Midwest regional offices.  As a Preconstruction Leader, you will be supporting one of the most challenging and fastest growing career fields, Trane Technologies Energy Services. This role includes working with internal teams and customers to identify and develop turnkey design-build contracting projects, including scope of work development, cost estimating, and proposal support as part of an industry leading Energy Services Company (ESCO).

A career with an ESCO demands not only a knowledge of building systems and all aspects of its construction, but also requires strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills coupled with the will, determination, work ethic and a desire to succeed.

The Preconstruction Leader is responsible for Acquisition Support of both Design-Build Turnkey and Energy Services Contracting project work. This position requires mastery of sales and acquisition processes, technical aptitude, and project management skills.

* What you will do:

*** Discusses, evaluates, and develops, possible turnkey HVAC solutions with Account Manager, Project Manager, Sub-contractor, Supplier, and/or customer.
* Collects project data needed to assemble turnkey project scope and estimate.
* Utilizes plans, specifications, and knowledge of construction industry to analyze project needs and compiles detailed cost estimates.
* Supports Account Managers in developing and establishing project installation budgets and preparing the sub-contractor request for quotation’s (RFQ) including: scope statements; plans and milestone dates; specs; permitting and bonding requirements.
* Responsible for creating cost estimates consisting of materials, sub-contractors, purchased equipment, labor (start-up, service work, etc.), and other construction-related activities to assist Account Managers in competitively bidding on or determining price of project.
* Responsible for submittal review and the take-off and pricing of purchased equipment to ensure accuracy of quantity, size, configuration, voltage, options, etc.
* Able to effectively communicate, schedule, analyze information, and take responsibility for estimating duties.
* Review bid documents for potential conflicts and constructability issues.
* Communicate with customer, subcontractors, engineers, and…
