- Support project teams on civil engineering and related technical assignments
- Design for power generation, mining, and industrial site development
- Design buried utilities
- Plan and manage projects
- Perform civil design and analysis
- Create CADD models
- Prepare construction plans, specifications, and spreadsheets
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
- Perform site grading and layout
- Complete hydrologic and hydraulic calculations
- Write and support large reports
- Prepare construction cost estimates
- Support construction management and observation
- Conduct facility inspections
- Develop proposals, work scopes, deliverables, schedules, and budgets
- Assist with project planning, coordination, and execution
- Help ensure project milestones are met and provide updates to team members and clients
- Support the growth and development of team members
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
- 5 or more years of related work experience
- Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Civil 3D
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification or ability to obtain certification within one year
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship from Barr, now or in the future
- Ability to work in locations featuring rough construction-site terrain
- Ability to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Flexible working style and willingness to modify schedule occasionally to meet deadlines or client needs
- Ability to work cooperatively in a project team environment
- Effective project organization and management skills
Demonstrates expertise in civil engineering design and project management, including proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Capable of conducting hydrologic calculations, preparing construction plans, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
