Executive Mortgage Loan Originator

• Originate mortgage loans, focusing on purchase money
• Guide members through the mortgage process and determine suitable products for their financial circumstances
• Maintain a robust referral network, including realtors and builders, to drive monthly volume
• Counsel members on mortgage options, rates, terms, and programs
• Interview loan applicants, prequalify files, and organize application packages for timely processing and regulatory compliance
• Implement the credit union’s sales strategies and grow referral opportunities
• Refer additional credit union products and resolve service complaints to maintain member satisfaction
• Work independently in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment while collaborating with credit union employees and external partners
• Partner with credit unions to meet members face-to-face and over the phone and build business relationships

• At least three (3) years of mortgage sales experience in the real estate community
• NMLS license required and must be maintained
• Knowledge of conventional loans
• Knowledge of secondary market practices
• Knowledge of state and federal lending regulations
• Excellent, professional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong multi-tasking abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
• Must be based out of Metro Detroit

Demonstrates expertise in mortgage loan origination and sales, with a strong understanding of conventional loans and regulatory compliance. Proven ability to build and maintain referral networks while providing exceptional member service and communication.
