- Prepare and present educational materials to clients in an engaging manner.
- Create a safe, supportive, and culturally sensitive environment for learning and discussion.
- Document client attendance, participation, synopsis, and summaries for each group facilitated.
- Communicate client feedback to team members for continuous improvement.
- Observe and maintain standards in accordance with agency policy and procedures.
- Report any situations indicating a potential threat to clients' or staff's wellbeing immediately.
- Attend regularly and consistently as a key job function.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, psychiatric nursing, or a closely related field.
- OR High School or General Equivalency Diploma and two (2) years of responsible employment history.
- Employees in this position may be required to apply for Missouri Associate Alcohol Drug Counselor (MAADC) credential.
- Successful completion of a background check, including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint check.
- Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.
- Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.
- Employees are required to maintain the certifications and/or licenses possessed when hired and those gained while employed.
- Sedentary work:
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. - Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift.
- Walking or standing may be required briefly.
