The Maintenance Assistant will work with residents and perform maintenance operations across the facility. The role requires high competency, efficiency, teamwork, and minimal supervision.

Position:
Maintenance Assistant

This position requires personal contact with residents and a high level of competency and efficiency in all aspects of maintenance operations.

• Heavy duty cleaning, light grounds care, maintenance of institutional equipment.
• Keep records of work performed.
• Coordinate work with other departments to avoid interrupting patient care or normal business functions.
• Able to be on call for emergencies.
• Perform or direct duties concerning maintenance of grounds, parking lots, driveways, etc. May include gardening, landscaping, cleanup, snow removal, etc (except those performed under service contract).

• Maintenance experience preferred, not required.
• H‑VAC experience preferred, not required.
• High school graduate or graduate of a technical school.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals. Knowledge of local codes and ordinances. Knowledge of safety regulations.
