Job Description
As the Continuous Improvement Manager II, you’ll be a key member of the plant leadership team responsible for driving operational excellence through the deployment of Lean and Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies. This role leads high-impact initiatives that improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost while embedding a culture of continuous improvement across the facility.
You’ll also partner cross-functionally to execute the plant’s annual operating plan, delivering measurable results through hands‑on leadership, data-driven decision-making, and strong engagement on the production floor.
What You’ll Do Safety & Leadership- Champion a safety‑first culture by collaborating with EHS to ensure policies, programs, and practices promote a safe working environment
- Serve as a visible leader on the plant floor, setting expectations and reinforcing standards
- Lead the deployment and sustainment of Lean and CI methodologies across the plant
- Identify, prioritize, and execute high‑value cost savings and efficiency projects
- Drive a structured approach to project selection, resourcing, and execution
- Partner with operations to address daily production challenges, improving:
- Product quality
- Throughput and productivity
- On‑time delivery performance
- Act as a site‑wide problem solver, using root cause analysis and data to drive solutions
- Coach and develop engineers, supervisors, and hourly team members on CI principles and leadership skills
- Lead and facilitate training programs to build organizational CI capability
- Foster a high‑performance, accountable, and collaborative culture
- Analyze data from multiple systems to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Develop and maintain reporting tools and dashboards to track CI progress
- Support and lead efforts to improve performance against CI audits and benchmarks
- Lead cross‑functional teams on major improvement initiatives
- Communicate progress, results, and priorities to plant leadership and stakeholders
- Promote best practice sharing across the facility and broader organization
- Measurable improvements in cost, efficiency, and productivity
- Strong employee engagement and CI adoption across all levels
- Sustainable improvements validated through audits and performance metrics
- A visible and trusted leader on the plant floor
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related technical field preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or continuous improvement
- Proven experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or CI methodologies
- Solid proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools (SAP experience preferred)
- Continuous Improvement Certifications
- SAP
- Results‑driven with a strong track record of delivering measurable improvements
- Influential leader who can drive change across all levels of the organization
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Effective coach and communicator
- High level of business and operational acumen
- Hands‑on experience driving CI initiatives directly on the plant floor
- Ability to overcome resistance and lead change effectively
- Track record of delivering quantifiable cost savings and performance gains
- Passion for developing people and building high‑performing teams
