• Responsible for the operation of all plant machinery; starting, operating, and shutting down equipment to maximize production while minimizing wear and ensuring safety; communicate with Production Shift Supervisor.
• Perform equipment maintenance and minor preventative maintenance.
• Control raw material and product flow.
• Maintain efficient truck loading process using site TLC system for customer shipments.
• Ensure quality standards for product are met or exceeded by monitoring product and raw material inventories.
• Collect product samples as necessary.
• Secure equipment for maintenance by applying appropriate safety and plant procedures.
• Identify and inform Management of any animal food quality or safety issue.
• Operate processes to optimize production of quality and safe product following standard operating procedures and Current Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Perform housekeeping and sanitation functions as required.
• Initiate actions to prevent occurrence or further processing of nonconforming product relating to feed quality and safety until issues are corrected.
• Maintain required written records including production, recycle, disposition of product, corrective actions, etc., as mandated by the Animal Food Quality and Safety Management System.
• Follow all facility safety Standard Operating Procedures and safety processes.
• Actively participate in site requisitioning, work order, and MOC systems.

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Process Equipment Operator (Preferred).
• Prior forklift experience (Preferred).
• Industry experience (Preferred).
• Knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations, and Animal Food Quality and Safety policies and standards (Preferred).
• Aware of HACCP regulations.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine walking rounds throughout the shift.
• Ability and willingness to safely work at heights up to 60+ feet.
• Steady work history.
• Valid driver's license.

Hourly Rate: $34.44
