Job Summary

Midcon Cables Company, a leading contract manufacturer of wire and cable harness solutions for the defense and aerospace industry, has an immediate opening for a Cost and Bidding Technician. Midcon maintains this position by incorporating new methodologies, technologies, and training for their employees to provide value‑added solutions for simple and complex applications.

The Cost and Bidding Tech will work within a team to prepare cost estimates to assist management in generating new business and retaining existing customers. This position requires a detailed analysis of project needs in materials pricing, labor performance, and other production requirements. Meeting these project needs may require utilization of drawings, blueprints, and a general knowledge of the manufacturing.

The position requires an employee who is a self‑starter, self‑motivated, and able to accept directions and follow through with little supervision. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required. Good communication skills, organizational skills, and acute attention to detail are vital. The holder must have and maintain good attendance. Experience in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, particularly the costing of components, is preferred, not required.
