Electrician

The Maintenance/Electrician position is responsible for all aspects of maintaining equipment in the Modine-Joplin facility. Safety of all employees and high quality of product is of the highest importance. The tasks for this position include but are not limited to electrical troubleshooting, advanced preventative maintenance, machining skills on a lathe and a mill would be a plus along with knowing PLC programming and having the ability to weld.

Characteristics of a successful candidate:
Possess above average verbal and written communication skills. Be hands on, self-motivated, possess a high degree of initiative and understanding of product quality. Be proficient in blueprint reading and shop mathematics. Follow directions explicitly and can thoroughly document changes required in a formal manner.

Key Responsibilities A Maintenance/Electrician will:

• Work with production supervisors to schedule tasks so as to not interfere with normal production
• Know and adhere to OSHA and NEC electrical code
• Be knowledgeable of basic machine-shop processes
• Coordinate work with co-workers as necessary
• Communicate problems and/or concerns with supervision prior having an impact on production
• Assemble/fabricate projects as directed
• Provide feed-back to supervisor concerning issues pertaining to production equipment
• Work extended and unscheduled hours as required in order to meet deadlines
• Mandatory travel is required as needed to support the facility
• Must be able to meet all essential functions of the job based on the ergonomic analysis
• Support all other departments as required

Required Education & Qualifications Minimum of two years of experience in industrial maintenance and electricity in a manufacturing environment
