Position Summary
The Community Marketing Specialist works with the marketing team to coordinate and execute the company’s promotional and public relations efforts. This position assists with all business needs related to marketing with an emphasis on community marketing initiatives and external communications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Oversees local TV advertising coordination and scheduling
- Leads the coordination of regional and corporate events, including grand openings, celebrations, and community launches
- Collaborates with the creative content specialist to craft new development branding plans for master planned communities
- Researches and proposes new regional and corporate advertising opportunities and marketing sponsor ships
- Ensures consistency in brand representation
- Coordinates trade show representation, special event planning, and open house scheduling
- Identifies and oversees cause marketing initiatives approved by leadership
- Leads development of all community and sales team print marketing efforts
- Develops and maintains positive rapport with local TV and print news outlets and coordinates featured stories, interviews, and press releases
- Proactively identifies opportunities for awards/accolades relevant to new construction and mid-sized business
- Manages marketing floor plan and elevation library, updating as needed
- Maintains accurate listing details for quick-move-in homes and available build inventory on website and all other syndicated sites, including MLS and Zillow
- Oversees and manages company reputation and customer satisfaction
- Assists in local SEO development and maintenance
- New market entry and research
- Fosters a healthy relationship with on-site sales team members
- Three to five years’ experience in marketing, PR, advertising, or communications required
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related discipline preferred
- Proficient in the use of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and Adobe Creative products
- Excellent creative writing, time management, and organizational skills required
- Ability to communicate and receive feedback from multiple stakeholders.
Physical Requirements
- Works in a temperature-controlled office environment, with low noise levels
- Prolonged periods of sitting required
- Occasionally required to walk, stand, and lift objects weighing 25 pounds
