Full Time Nights (36hrs/week)

Located on the fifth floor of the Tower at Freeman Hospital West, the Stroke Unit is a multi-faceted floor offering the opportunity to learn a wide range of skills. 29-bed, Level II Stroke Center with state-of-the-at equipment and monitoring. Freeman in Joplin, Missouri, is a 460-bed, three-hospital system providing comprehensive healthcare services to an area that includes more than 450,000 from Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas.

Freeman Health System includes Freeman Hospital West, Freeman Hospital East, Freeman Neosho Hospital and Ozark Center – the area’s largest provider of behavioral health services – as well as two urgent care clinics, dozens of physician clinics and a variety of specialty services.

In conjunction with the medical plan of care, independently performs systematic and continuous assessment of the physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs of assigned patients and families; plans and implements appropriate interventions; and evaluates effectiveness and adjusts plan as indicated in a timely manner in the provision of safe and effective care.

Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse’s state of residence.
