** Located on the fourth floor of the Tower at Freeman Hospital West  29-bed unit providing post-operative care to adult patients following Orthopedic trauma, head injury, and scheduled joint or spine surgery  We provide a patient-centered approach to helping patients return to their best by coordinating efforts with our therapy team to help ensure a successful recovery  Our focus is on building a team-centered work environment where compassion is key, patient safety is paramount, and you will have the ability to make a difference in the lives of your patients and their families
** What You’ll Do
** In Conjunction With The Medical Plan Of Care, Independently Performs Systematic And Continuous Assessment Of The Physical, Emotional, Clinical, And Psychosocial Needs Of Assigned Patients And Families;
Plans And Implements Appropriate Interventions;
And Evaluates Effectiveness And Adjusts Plan As Indicated In A Timely Manner In The Provision Of Safe And Effective Care.
** Requirements
* * Current Missouri Registered Nurse License Or Current Registered Nurse License From A Compact State. If A Compact License Is Held, It Must Be In The Nurse's State Of Residence.
• If No Experience As An RN Or LPN In A Hospital Setting Or It Has Been More Than 5 Years Since Last Worked In A Hospital Setting, Nurses Must Successfully Pass Patient Care Orientation (PCO) Within 30 Days.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification Preferred.
• ASLS Preferred, But Not Required.
• AHA BLS For Healthcare Providers Within 60 Days.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification Within 365 Days.
• RN Competency Day Annually By Transcript Due Date.
** Preferred Requirements*
* • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification Preferred.  
• ASLS Preferred, But Not Required.
