Full‑Time | 36 Hours Per Week
- Option 1: (3) 12‑hour shifts | 1030‑2300 (No weekends, holidays, or call)
- Option 2: (4) 10‑hour shifts | 1300‑2300 (No weekends, holidays, or call)
Located in the Freeman Heart & Vascular Institute, CV Pre‑Op/PACU is a fast‑paced, specialized outpatient procedural unit that provides exceptional peri‑operative and post‑operative care to patients undergoing procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiovascular Operating Room, and other advanced cardiovascular procedures. The team is committed to delivering outstanding patient‑centered care through collaboration, clinical excellence, and compassion.
What You’ll DoIn conjunction with the medical plan of care, independently perform systematic and continuous assessment of the physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs of assigned patients and families; plan and implement appropriate interventions; and evaluate effectiveness and adjust the plan as indicated in a timely manner to provide safe and effective care.
Requirements- Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state (if a compact license is held, it must be in the Nurse's state of residence).
- AHA ACLS within 180 days.
- AHA BLS for healthcare providers within 30 days.
- Cardiovascular Disease CEU hours – 8 per year, annually by transcript due date.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification within 180 days.
- Perioperative RN competency day annually by transcript due date.
- Stroke CEU hours – 4 per year, annually by transcript due date.
