Travel Behavioral Health RN

Position Overview

Med Pro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel Nurse RN Psychiatric for a 13‑week assignment in Gallatin, Tennessee. The role requires a registered nurse (RN) with a specialty in psychiatric care, 12‑hour shifts, 36 hours per week, and an active RN license.

• Assess the mental health status of patients with behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate with medical providers and mental health staff in the design and delivery of patient care.
• Administer and monitor the effectiveness and side‑effects of psychotropic medications.
• Assist patients, families, and staff in interpreting and managing maladaptive behaviors and in planning healthy lifestyle changes.
• Exercise balanced judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions to handle difficult or confrontational scenarios professionally.

• Active RN License.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification.
• At least 18 months of recent experience in an acute care psychiatric setting.
• Additional requirements as determined by the client facility.
