Travel RN - PACU

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a PACU position working exclusively weekend days (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) with at least 3 years of post-op experience and an active MO or Compact RN license.

• Active MO RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand; no expiring certifications within the first 30 days of assignment unless renewal documentation is provided
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of post-op/PACU experience required
• Minimum 1 year of recent specialty experience required
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required;
  Canadian SINs are not accepted
• No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months

• Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in a hospital setting
• Day shift, 7:00 AM-7:00 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday only)
• On-call required as determined by the facility
• Standard float requirements apply
• EMR:
  Epic
• 13-week contract
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the post-anesthesia setting
• Coordinates care with other departments and evaluates the effectiveness of care delivered by other direct caregivers
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality in accordance with facility standards
• Black scrubs required; no other scrub colors are acceptable
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Flu vaccination required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1; exceptions must be client-approved
• Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced pay rate and may be limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before a separation period or facility change is required
• The facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center, Level 2 Stroke Center, and Level 2 STEMI Center
