Schedule:
Shift: 7A - 5P with 2-6 days of call per month.
Job Description:
The Registered Nurse in the Surgery unit will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures. This position requires strong vascular skills and familiarity with the Meditech charting system. The RN will collaborate with a team of nurses and surgical techs to ensure optimal patient outcomes and efficiency in the operating room.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients.
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions pre- and post-operative.
- Collaborate with surgical teams during procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation using Meditech.
- Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in the surgical environment.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Experience in surgery, particularly with vascular procedures.
- Knowledge of Meditech charting system is essential.
- Advanced certifications relevant to surgical nursing preferred.
