Join a Mission-Driven Team Making a DifferenceACCESS Family Care is seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our integrated behavioral health team. We are dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals and families across our communities.
As a PMHNP, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, treating, and supporting patients with mental health conditions while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic mental health conditions.
- Prescribe, adjust, and monitor psychiatric medications.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis and treatment options.
- Collaborate with primary care providers, therapists, case managers, and support staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record.
- Participate in quality improvement and patient outcome initiatives.
- Provide crisis intervention and appropriate referrals when needed.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current Missouri APRN licensure (or eligibility for Missouri licensure).
- Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
- DEA registration or eligibility to obtain.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience working in community mental health, integrated care, outpatient psychiatry, or rural healthcare settings.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- Experience treating patients across the lifespan.
