Role Overview
Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process under supervision or direction of a licensed healthcare professional. Ensures accountability for patient care and coordinates with other departments to deliver comprehensive care.
Qualifications & Skills- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent experience with successful licensure.
- Current LPN license in the state of practice, meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completed within 30 days of hire.
- Experience can be as a new or experienced LPN.
- Possibility of requiring additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., or other unit-specific credentials.
- Perform patient care tasks, including bending, stooping, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and assisting with patient movement.
- Stand and walk extensively during shifts, with the ability to grip, reach, kneel, twist, and squat as needed.
