Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-acuity medical-surgical unit. This role offers exposure to a diverse patient population, including medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurological cases, providing an excellent opportunity for professional growth.
Schedule
- Full-time
- Day and Night shifts available
- Rotating weekends required
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor health status
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
- Deliver direct patient care in accordance with clinical standards
- Supervise and delegate tasks to support staff
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Unit Details
- Department:
Med/Surg (Neuro, Ortho, Nephrology specialties) - Beds per unit: 49
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 6:1
- Patient acuity:
Higher-than-average Med/Surg (stable trauma patients, minimal drips)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Acute Care RN experience
- ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program
- Active RN license or compact license
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Pay: $30 – $41/hour (based on experience)
- Shift Differentials:
- +$4/hour for nights
- +$4/hour for weekends
- Sign-On Bonus:
- $30,000 (Nights – 2-year commitment)
- $10,000 (Days – 2-year commitment)
