Role: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a Cardiac Surgery Unit.
Responsibilities: Provide care for pre and post-operative cardiac surgery patients, manage cardiac dysrhythmias requiring IV therapy, and support vascular surgery and general medical overflow. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including educators, PCA/PCTs, case managers, respiratory therapists, dietitians, PT/OT, and speech therapists. Earn ACLS credentials and develop strong clinical skills for cardiac and vascular patient care.
Qualifications & Skills- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent education and licensure.
- Maintain current LPN license per state requirements.
- Certifications may include ACLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., BLS, or unit-specific certifications; some may be required within specific time frames.
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, walk, and perform various physical tasks.
