Group Sales Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and growing a high-performing sales team within PLS Logistics Services. This role combines frontline sales leadership, coaching, recruiting, and revenue generation. The GSM will manage daily sales activities, develop Account Executives, drive new customer acquisition, and help build a culture focused on performance and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Account Executives and Account Executive Trainees.
  • Drive daily sales activity, including prospecting, pipeline development, and revenue generation.
  • Train and mentor sales representatives on prospecting strategies, customer engagement, and closing techniques.
  • Monitor individual and team performance against sales goals and KPIs.
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, and development plans.
  • Help recruit, onboard, and train new sales talent.
  • Manage sales pipeline activity and ensure consistent execution of the PLS sales process.
  • Support team members with customer strategy, negotiations, and complex sales opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers while helping grow existing accounts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Logistics, Transportation, Sales, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven success in a sales environment with a track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Previous sales leadership, coaching, or mentoring experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of prospecting, pipeline management, and business development.
  • Ability to motivate and develop sales professionals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales metrics and drive accountability.
