Armed Security Officer

Garda World Security Services is hiring an Armed Tactical Security Ambassador.

What matters most in this role is your ability to read the environment, anticipate risk, and act accordingly. Your keen sense of observation is one of your greatest strengths.

  Joplin, MO
• Schedule:
  • 1st shift:
    Saturday through Tuesday, 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • 2nd shift:
    Friday through Monday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
  • 3rd shift:
    Saturday through Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.;
    Wednesday through Thursday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
  • 4th shift:
    Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.;
    Wednesday through Friday, 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• At least 21 years of age
• At least 1 year of armed security experience
• Documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Must pass an extensive screening process
• First aid certification is an asset
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience is a plus

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening after an offer of employment is extended.
