Telecom – As sometimes being the first interaction patients have with Freeman Health System, we assist patients and families in what they need and ensure seamless communication 24/7. We provide physicians and staff support by maintaining on‑call physicians, connecting physicians, staff, and departments with whom they need to speak with in a timely manner.
The position is responsible for the operation of the hospital switchboard, monitoring many hospital alarms and ensuring the proper team or person is notified. The role requires effective communication skills to excel under all circumstances, including emergency situations such as weather alerts.
Responsibilities- Operate the hospital switchboard, answering external and internal calls and routing them as needed or requested.
- Contact physicians and hospital personnel as required.
- Monitor hospital alarms, follow procedures to notify appropriate staff, and document actions taken.
- Provide notifications during emergency situations such as weather alerts.
- Maintain effective communication skills to excel in the position.
Part‑time, 20 hours per week – Saturday and Sunday.
