Position OverviewWe’re seeking a Mobile Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair our fleet of gas and diesel trucks and heavy construction equipment. Experience with underground construction equipment like directional boring machines and plows is a plus.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair vehicles and heavy equipment
- Inspect and maintain electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair needs
- Safely operate company vehicles and equipment
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Experience with underground construction equipment (directional boring machines, plows)
- Welding and metal fabrication experience
- 3+ years diesel mechanic experience
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to supply and maintain personal hand tools
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Able to work independently in a mobile environment
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
