Work Schedule:

Wed/Thu/Fri/Sat/Sun 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Weekend position. OT opportunity.

Performs those jobs necessary for the care and maintenance of mechanical equipment, buildings, property, and facilities in use at Missouri American Water Company. Includes fabrication and construction of equipment and facilities as required for water utility operation.

• Perform electric wiring and motor care; assemble and repair electric motors, install conduit and wiring, trace electrical troubles, maintain relays, remote control and auxiliary control equipment.
• Perform instrument and control activities; install, maintain, and service calibration of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric controls and instruments.
• Perform pipe fittings, pipe laying, boiler and heating plant maintenance; install, repair, and maintain valves, fittings, pipes including screwed, sweat, flanged, bell and spigot joints for large and small pipe.
• Handle large pipe, cast iron, concrete, steel, or other materials.
• Perform welding activities: acetylene and electric welding, soldering, brazing, cutting.
• Perform equipment maintenance and repair including minor air conditioning.
