Job Summary

Very reputable and growing organization located in the Joplin, MS area is looking for a Plant Electrician.

Compensation & Benefits

This role comes with a competitive compensation plan, offering an hourly rate up to $40 per hour plus overtime, an annual bonus, and an excellent benefits package including a 401(k) plan with a 7% match.

Additional benefits include medical, prescription, dental, vision, AD&D, life insurance, short‑term disability, and a 401(k) plan.

  • Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per year (or hourly up to $40 + OT)
  • Work Hours:

    8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Education:

    High School (required)
  • All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electrical devices and systems associated with feeder/branch circuits and overcurrent protection.
  • Prioritize health and safety by adhering to policies and maintaining safe practices at all times.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic equipment such as motors, switches, timers, transformers, power rectifiers, and photoelectric sensors.
  • Operate equipment and tools to complete work such as cutting, threading, bending conduit, and removing and replacing conduit, fittings and junction boxes.
  • Install and connect distribution and utilization equipment components; ensure safety codes and National Electric Code (NEC) are met prior to installation.
  • Draw, read, and interpret electrical schematics and one‑line diagrams.
  • Conduct weekly/monthly calibrations as required by regulatory agencies.
  • Serve as an active member of the Plant Emergency Response Team (PERT); ensure electrical shutdown in case of emergency.
  • Utilize the appropriate required personal protective equipment (PPE) when working around hazardous materials.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an electrician.
  • Previous experience working with PLCs.
  • High School education (required).
