As a Commercial & Industrial Service/Installation Technician, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the proper installation and service of our products and systems for customers. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality Culligan service. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose our systems following training and will be comfortable consulting with customers to effectively understand their needs.

We expect you to be punctual and reliable as our customers rely on timely, consistent service and installation. Effective communication and attention to detail will be key in this role given the need to manage customer information and paperwork for correctness, as well as efficiently communicate with customers, managers, and team members.

The Service Technician should be comfortable quickly adapting to changing circumstances, adjusting to different tasks and working conditions, as well as committing to ongoing learning to stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices.

Technically speaking, the right candidate for this role will be skilled at installing, servicing, and maintaining large scale ROs and softeners primarily for industrial and manufacturing customers in the Joplin area.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of water chemistry and well water testing. Additionally, the technician must be comfortable plumbing in new and old equipment, and changing out pumps, switches, and meters. This person will work a full-time schedule in industrial/manufacturing/hospital settings. In this position, it will be essential to regularly sanitize, change filters, log data, and audit safety protocols as it relates to our systems.

You’ll be working at a professional level with clients in the commercial and industrial level of manufacturing. You’ll need to be comfortable writing reports on equipment and water quality. Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and the ability to read schematics and P&’s will be extremely useful in this role. This position requires in-depth knowledge of large Reverse Osmosis and industrial equipment including Ultraviolet lights, softeners, and chemical injection.

Food safety and Lock-out-tag out of equipment will be practiced daily. This position will be putting maintenance contracts together and help support equipment sales.

The ideal candidate for this role will be highly customer oriented, comfortable managing their time and solving problems, and committed to following SOP’s. Proficiency in using hand tools and basic power tools is of the utmost important in this position.

  • Must have in-depth commercial plumbing, reverse osmosis, and water softener installation experience. Industrial equipment including ultraviolet lights, softeners and chemical injection.
  • Must be able to work at a professional level with clients in the commercial and industrial level of manufacturing.
  • Must be able to write reports on equipment and water quality.
