Automation Engineer

• Designing, building, deploying, and supporting enterprise-grade automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Dataverse, APIs, and related technologies
• Designing tailored automation solutions to meet specific client or business requests
• Leading automation solutions end-to-end, including discovery, requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and production support
• Partnering with business stakeholders to assess automation opportunities and define requirements
• Anticipating problems, analyzing potential risks, and recommending mitigation strategies
• Providing effective production support, including accurate problem identification, root cause analysis, ticket documentation, issue resolution, and customer/vendor dialogue
• Documenting small- to medium-scale projects and delivering presentations with minimal supervision
• Creating and optimizing business process automations using Power Automate
• Designing, developing, and managing custom business applications using Power Apps
• Developing, managing, and maintaining AI-powered chatbots and virtual agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio
• Integrating Power Platform solutions with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other Microsoft or third-party services
• Applying automation development best practices, including error handling, testing, documentation, monitoring, governance, security, and application lifecycle management
• Staying current with new features and roadmap developments across Power Platform and Microsoft AI capabilities

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years’ automation and AI development experience
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to work in agile and cross-functional team environments
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Copilot Studio, including chatbot authoring, trigger phrases, topics, entities, and integration with external data sources and APIs
• Experience with Dataverse, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Azure Logic Apps or Azure Functions
• Familiarity with Power Fx, low-code expressions, and custom connectors
• Basic scripting knowledge (JavaScript, Power Shell, or C#) is a plus
• Experience with AI Builder, Copilot integrations, or Azure Open AI services is a strong plus
• Experience in UX/UI design for apps and chatbot experiences
  
  Understanding of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Dev Ops practices for Power Platform
• Microsoft Certifications such as: PL-100:

  Power Platform Functional Consultant, PL-400:
  Power Platform Developer, PL-900:
  Power Platform Fundamentals

Demonstrates expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-grade automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power Apps, while effectively collaborating with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and manage project life cycles. Proficient in AI development, particularly with Microsoft Copilot Studio, and skilled in problem-solving and communication within agile environments.
