In-office position, work location in Hillsboro, MO.

Will attend Community Partnership & Outreach Events, eligible for mileage reimbursement

Incorporated in 1965, Jefferson Franklin Community Action Corporation (JFCAC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to assisting low-income individuals, and families, achieve self-sufficiency through quality programs in Jefferson and Franklin Counties. We are a federal, state, and locally funded Community Action Agency.

JFCAC offers a variety of impactful programs for eligible individuals and families, from early childhood education, rental and utility assistance to FREE Transportation for clients!

We're looking for an individual to fill our newly open position of full-time EZMO Transportation Coordinator
. This person must have a strong attention to detail and motivation to follow tasks through to completion and the ability to work independently and in a Team setting.

The
EZMO Transportation Coordinator is responsible for the leadership, development, coordination, and advancement of the EZMO transportation program throughout the service area. The primary responsibility of this position is the development, recruitment, retention, and sustainability of the volunteer driver network that supports transportation services for older adults, low-income individuals, people with disabilities, and other vulnerable populations.

The C
oordinator serves as a regional transportation advocate and mobility manager, identifying transportation barriers, and developing collaborative solutions that increase access to healthcare, employment, education, food resources, mental health services, and other essential supports. This position provides oversight of transportation program staff, volunteer driver initiatives, community partnerships, program performance measures, and compliance requirements while supporting the long-term sustainability of transportation services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive volunteer driver recruitment, retention, recognition, and engagement strategies to ensure adequate transportation capacity throughout the service area.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with community organizations, faith-based groups, businesses, civic organizations, educational institutions, and other partners to recruit volunteer drivers.
  • Create and coordinate outreach campaigns, presentations, recruitment events, and networking opportunities designed to increase volunteer driver participation.
  • Monitor volunteer driver utilization, coverage areas, retention rates, and service gaps and implement strategies to address identified needs.
  • Oversee driver program standards, onboarding processes, training requirements, recognition efforts, and compliance activities.
  • Work collaboratively with the Transportation Specialist to ensure volunteer recruitment, orientation, communication, and support activities are effectively carried out.
  • Obtain and Manage data associated with volunteers and clients participating with EZMO Transportation as determined to be collected by goals and parameters of workplan activities as it relates to transportation needs.
  • Utilize appropriate information systems as determined necessary for volunteer management, client data tracking and reporting.
Program Leadership & Mobility Coordination
  • Coordinate and oversee implementation of the EZMO transportation program and related mobility initiatives throughout the service area.
  • Identify transportation barriers affecting vulnerable populations and facilitate community-based solutions that improve transportation access.
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with local governments, healthcare providers, community organizations, employers, educational institutions, and other stakeholders.
  • Serve as JFCAC's representative on transportation, mobility, and community access initiatives at the local, regional, and state levels.
  • Attend required training, webinars, conference calls, conferences, conferences, and professional development opportunities related to transportation coordination and mobility management.
  • Facilitate community engagement activities, stakeholder meetings, and outreach efforts to gather data regarding transportation needs, service gaps, and emerging trends.
Program Development & Sustainability
  • Collaborate with agency leadership to identify and pursue funding opportunities, grants, and community partnerships that support transportation services and mobility initiatives.
  • Support the development and implementation of strategic plans designed to improve transportation access and strengthen regional transportation infrastructure.
  • Research and promote transportation best practices, innovative mobility solutions, and community transportation resources.
