Warehouse Receiving Clerk

Position Summary

Load and/or unload trucks. Receive, check, store, count and distribute inventory of all types in accordance with established systems, procedures and methods

• Responsible for scheduling deliveries and outbound shipments via phone and e‑mail and managing inbound/outbound schedule.
• Accurately adjusts, receives, processes, and verifies inbound receipts into JDE inventory from outside cold storage warehouse via provided bills of lading and packing slips.
• Accurately receives film, labels, and other packaging.
• Communicates with procurement when needing an order quantity adjusted (–10%/+10%) and addresses any delivery remainder.
• Maintains adequate inventory for non‑inventoried warehouse supplies such as blank labels, gypsum sheets, plastic pallets, white wood pallets.
• Accurately processes transfer orders from outside cold storage warehouse to Carthage facility.
• Scans and maintains records of bills of lading for Carthage receipts.
• Helps manage planned inbound and outbound transfer dates at mouth‑end.
• Creates manual bills of lading for non‑ERP shipments.
• Maintain safe and positive work environment in compliance with OSHA, company standards, and local, state and federal requirements.
• Perform tasks necessary to meet warehouse goals.
• Accurately complete all necessary paperwork.
• Manage day‑to‑day inventory levels.
• Maintain Forklift certification.
• Periodic inventories.
• Trace history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommend remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
• Timely execution of daily receiving and shipping load board. Oversee the receipt of purchased goods verifying counts, quality and complete all required paperwork and transactions associated to this process.
• Stacks and arranges product on pallets.
• Completes forklift and pallet jack inspections before each shift.
• Replenish stock while maintaining a cleaned and organized warehouse/location daily.
• Move product in warehouse/location as necessary during reallocations of space or taking of inventory.
• Rotate product and arrange according to Julian dates or FIFO (first in first out).
• Receives and checks against receiving documents incoming products, ensuring proper product code, quantity and condition; reports any discrepancies to the lead.
• Operates electric forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Works in and out of the freezers, temperatures average 32°F to –25°F.
• General support of production.

• Report all injuries, unsafe conditions, unsafe acts and horseplay.
• Use proper lifting techniques.
• Use mechanical assistance (handjack, forklift, manlift).
• Use personal assistance (buddy).
• Use handrails.
• Use and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Temperatures throughout plant average 50°F. Required to wear hairnet, smock, boots, ear plugs, gloves, plastic sleeves, and aprons provided by the Company. Need to comply with Food Safety: GMP’S, SSOP, SOP, HACCP, SQF, and Quality requirements.

• Prefer High school diploma or GED.
• 3–4 years of warehouse, manufacturing or production experience.
• Maintain forklift certification.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to work in production/warehouse environment with constant exposure to loud machinery.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures, both indoors and outdoors.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
