Seasonal Warehouse Associate, Joppa - Day Shifts

Job Overview

As a Warehouse Colleague, you will help create a seamless, customer‑focused experience behind the scenes. Your day will involve receiving, storing, picking, packing, sorting, and shipping merchandise with an emphasis on precision, safety, and teamwork. You will keep the warehouse clean and organized while fostering a positive, respectful atmosphere for all team members.

• Receiving and Unloading – Load and unload cartons and merchandise from delivery trucks, conveyor systems, and other modes of transport.
• Sorting and Organizing – Lift, carry, push, and pull packages continually to maintain a tidy and efficient workflow.
• Processing – Complete all receiving, processing, and shipping activities in accordance with productivity standards.
• Technology – Accurately and efficiently input data using PCs, handheld computers, radio frequency equipment, or similar devices.
• Safety – Perform all job functions in a safe manner and report accidents or hazards promptly.
• Equipment – Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment as required.
• Team Collaboration – Work collaboratively with teammates, customers, and leadership; read and adhere to policies and procedures.
• Shift Preparation – Wear your name badge, follow the dress code, attend start‑ups, and ensure your work area is ready.
• Customer Focus – Arrive quickly at your department, work swiftly and accurately, handle merchandise with care, and pack each customer’s package thoughtfully.
• Hospitality – Greet coworkers with a smile and a friendly hello, initiate conversations, show interest, offer help, and build trust.
• Finish Strong – Tidy your workstation, return equipment, replenish supplies, and acknowledge coworkers who contributed to the day’s success.
• Community – Foster acceptance and respect, strengthening relationships with colleagues, customers, and the broader community.

• Flexible team player who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and can switch between multiple tasks.
• No education or experience required.
• Flexible availability with regular, reliable attendance and punctuality (days, evenings, weekends, holidays).
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Self‑starter who adapts quickly to shifting customer expectations.
• Proficient in computers and handheld technology.
• Must understand and communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, supervisors, and leaders.
• Must read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English.

• Prolonged periods (up to 12 hours) of standing or walking in the facility, excluding breaks.
• Frequent use of computers and handheld electronic equipment.
• Reaching, including above eye level, crouching, kneeling, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
• Lifting and moving items weighing up to 50–75 pounds.
• Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Ability to hear and see safety and emergency alarms and industrial truck warning devices while on the warehouse floor.
