Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the principles of effective teaching
• Coaching experience is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of district and state activities association guidelines
• Good health & physical condition must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Current TB skin test on file
• Valid driver's license

Basic Function/

Purpose:

To provide students with training and development so they can successfully compete at the local and State level in a Scholars Bowl format.

Performance Responsibilities:

• Supervise students during work nights giving individual and group evaluation.
• Works with head coach in scheduling and conducting tournaments.
• Assists with organizing and hosting any JCHS tournament.
• Ensures that students represent JCHS in an appropriate manner by having all students follow JCHS student guidelines and Scholars Bowl team guidelines.
• See that all students competing for JCHS are academically eligible to represent JCHS at competitions.
• Keep accurate accounting of all income and expenditures for the activity.
• See that transportation arrangements are made so students can attend competitions.
• Other Activities approved by head coach/building administrators
