- Knowledge of the principles of effective teaching
- Coaching experience is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of district and state activities association guidelines
- Good health & physical condition must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Current TB skin test on file
- Valid driver's license

Basic Function/
Purpose:
To provide students with training and development so they can successfully compete at the local and State level in a Scholars Bowl format.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Supervise students during work nights giving individual and group evaluation.
- Works with head coach in scheduling and conducting tournaments.
- Assists with organizing and hosting any JCHS tournament.
- Ensures that students represent JCHS in an appropriate manner by having all students follow JCHS student guidelines and Scholars Bowl team guidelines.
- See that all students competing for JCHS are academically eligible to represent JCHS at competitions.
- Keep accurate accounting of all income and expenditures for the activity.
- See that transportation arrangements are made so students can attend competitions.
- Other Activities approved by head coach/building administrators
