Current Kansas Teaching Certificate with endorsement appropriate to the assignment on file in the Devin Center Health certificate on file in Devin Center Highly Qualified according to state of Kansas requirements Knowledge and ability to teach basic and advance studies in drawing, painting, 3-Dimensional Art, digital imaging and graphic design.

Students BASIC FUNCTION/PURPOSE The Art instructor provides effective curriculum instruction that promotes and supports college and career readiness for each student based on the Kansas College and Career Readiness Standards. The individual accepting this position will also work collaboratively within the Art Department in support of the Department's goals and objectives. CRITICAL SKILLS Ability to maintain regular and good work attendance and come to work on time.

Ability to work constructively and cooperatively with others. Ability to respond to information requests in a courteous, timely and helpful manner. Ability to manage job responsibilities while meeting established deadlines. Ability to access, input, and retrieves information from a computer. Ability to maintain confidentiality of student and staff information. Guide and instruct students through the visual art processes, based on the National Core Arts Anchor Standards with the specified purpose of developing proficient learners in the visual arts and providing appropriate instruction and support for students who seek to achieve at the accomplished and advanced performance standard levels. Sponsor, organize and conduct district and building showcase displays/galleries. Responsible for the organization and implementation of Art curriculum, based on the development of content "Units at a Glance," as approved at the building and district level(s).
