- ** Essential Duties:*
* + Through staff leadership and processes, support all plant operations and ensure the site meets or exceeds key performance indicators for safety, reliability, quality and service while minimizing cost, inventory, and waste.
+ Lead and support a culture where EHS is a core value. Implement and maintain company and site-specific EHS programs, as well as strict operational compliance with all company policies and federal, state and local regulations.
- + Interact with staff as well as supply chain, customer service, and central support teams to ensure all safety, production, and service goals are met. Interact with business partners including suppliers, vendors and regulators.
+ Manage production plans, facility and equipment maintenance schedules, staff assignments, inventory levels, supplies and vendor relationships to ensure safe, reliable and cost-effective operations.
+ Complete all administrative requirements in an accurate and timely manner such as monthly reporting, compliance monitoring, inventory counts, and performance evaluations.
+ Lead, mentor, support and evaluate staff to promote professional growth, high performance, and positive employee engagements in accordance with the continuous improvement philosophy.
+ Operate, troubleshoot, repair or request maintenance support for the entire facility and all equipment.
** Other Duties:*
* + Assist in the development and management of the plant's annual budget and production plan.
+ Perform the duties of the Plant Manager when he/she is not onsite.
+ Perform other duties as assigned, including special projects.
The Operations Manager's assigned work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (some flexibility is available).
+ BA or BS degree in a discipline such as mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering or business administration (Preferred), with 2+ years of related management experience gained in similar production environments (Required); OR
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent with 5+ years of related management experience gained in similar production environments (Required).
+ Valid state-issued drivers license (must be maintained upon hire).
+ OSHA-approved Forklift Operator Qualification (upon hire or within 1 month; must be maintained)
+ Ability to use computer systems including enterprise resource planning, human resources, maintenance management and emergency communication systems.
+ Ability to operate, troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance and repairs of plant systems and equipment with the proper training and resources.
+ Ability to lead programs such as World Class Manufacturing, 5S, Safe Start, and continuous improvement.
+ Knowledge of advanced manufacturing principles.
