Division of Banking & Securities – Administrative Assistant 2
The Division of Banking & Securities is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant 2 located in Juneau.
What You Will Be DoingThe primary purpose of this position is to coordinate, oversee, and perform paraprofessional administrative and program support tasks guided by policy, procedure, and regulation. This position performs regulatory tasks that extend the capacity of professional and technical level examiners plus investigators in the licensing, examination, and enforcement of the financial industry. This position reports to the Division Operations Manager. This PCN provides executive support to the Division Operations Manager.
In addition, this position focuses day‑to‑day on the agency’s budget, expenditure and revenue tracking, licensing support, and website tasks while maintaining responsibility for all functional areas and tasks listed. The incumbent evaluates data and processes, applies administrative policies, makes recommendations, and implements changes to office procedures.

This position is located in Juneau, Alaska on the 9th floor of the State Office Building with a beautiful view of the mountains, and a parking pass for the covered parking garage off Willoughby Ave.

This experience includes work such as Administrative Assistant 1, Accounting Technician 1, Human Resource Technician 1, and similar classes with the State of Alaska or the equivalent with another employer.
One year of advanced‑level clerical experience. This experience includes work such as Office Assistant 2, Accounting Clerk, and similar classes with the State of Alaska or the equivalent with another employer.
OROne year of post‑secondary education from an accredited college (32 semester hours or 48 quarter hours equals 1 year).
