The Department of Corrections, Division of Institutions is recruiting for a Criminal Justice Technician 1/2 position at the Fairbanks Correctional Center (FCC) located in Fairbanks, Alaska.

What You Will Be Doing:This position will process high volumes of paperwork, maintain prisoner records, and route court orders to the appropriate staff. It will interact with offenders, answer incoming calls, and manage the Attorney Room schedule. It will also collect, record, submit, report, and track prisoner DNA samples, including coordinating the ordering of DNA testing supplies. While these are the primary duties, this position may also be assigned other related tasks to support the overall operations of the institution.

This position works inside the secure portion of the building, in the Booking department and frequently interacts with inmates.
