OverviewThe Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Division of Wildlife Conservation is recruiting for an Administrative Officer 1 located in Palmer, Alaska.
What You Will Be DoingThis position provides supervision and guidance to ensure the integrity of all administrative functions in the Central/Southwest Region (Region IV) for the Division of Wildlife Conservation. Responsibilities include directing and supervising all aspects of administrative responsibilities for Region IV, such as budget development, accounting and financial management, personnel management, procurement/purchasing, policy and procedure development, facility management, and special projects.

The Working Conditions You Can ExpectThe position is located in Palmer. Daily work involves collaborating with the Regional Supervisor for Region IV on budget and forecasting. You will provide direct supervision of one Accounting Tech I and one Administrative Assistant II, and indirect supervision of three field office administrative/technician staff.
Who We Are Looking ForWe are interested in candidates who possess some or all of the following position‑specific competencies:
- A working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel), IRIS FIN/HRM, ALDER, APS, and TEARS.
- Excellent organizational skills, particularly electronic information storage.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to prioritize workload.
A valid driver’s license is required.
