Supply Administrative Assistant in Juneau, AK — The Legislative Affairs Agency (LAA) provides objective, accurate, and timely services to the Alaska Legislature and the public. The LAA seeks an enthusiastic individual who enjoys improving processes, creative problem‑solving, and recognizing opportunities where others see obstacles.
As the Supply Administrative Assistant, you will provide advanced support to the procurement, supply, and mail room sections under minimal supervision.
Key responsibilities include:
- Answering phones, greeting and assisting visitors, and providing information on personnel and administrative matters.
- Preparing reports and correspondence and maintaining filing systems.
- Ordering supplies, relaying work assignments to staff, and creating/maintaining delivery orders in a database.
- Assisting with small legislative procurements.
- Managing tasks during the legislative session when work hours may be long and deadlines critical.
The position is a fully exempt federal job class under AS 39.25.110(3) and is politically neutral. Salary will be based on experience within the 14/15 DOE range.
Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of relevant work experience.
- Valid Alaska driver's license with a clean driving record.
