The Criminal Division of the Alaska Department of Law is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant 3 located in Juneau, Alaska!

What You Will Be Doing:

The Department of Law, Criminal Division Central Office, is seeking a motivated and experienced Administrative Assistant 3 to join our team in Juneau. In this role, you will independently perform and coordinate a wide range of advanced administrative functions that support our district attorney offices statewide.

Key responsibilities would include:

* Coordinating internal human resources,

* Handling division-wide payroll, recruitment, and personnel actions,

* Assisting with procurement and fiscal support activities,

* Managing travel logistics and documentation,

* Maintaining case file systems,

* Serving as property custodian,

* Acting as liaison for our case management system,

* Troubleshooting office and administrative issues, as needed,

* Providing backup to the Administrative Officer.

The areas of support would include internal human resources, payroll, recruitment, procurement, personnel actions, fiscal, travel, case file management, property custodian, case management system liaison, back up to Administrative Officer and general troubleshooting services, as needed.

Benefits of Joining Our Team:

You will work a standard 37.5-hour week and receive 12 paid holidays, along with personal leave that begins accruing at 6 hours per pay period-approximately 21 days annually-with accrual increasing over time.

While general office hours are 8:00am-4:30pm, there is flexibility to set your regular schedule within core business hours.

Minimum Qualifications

One year of experience performing journey-level technical duties in one or more administrative functional areas such as human resources, accounting, administration, and procurement. This experience includes work such as Administrative Assistant 2, Accounting Technician 2, Human Resource Technician 2, and similar classes with the State of Alaska or the equivalent with another employer.

OR

Two years of post-secondary education from an accredited college (32 semester hours or 48 quarter hours equals 1 year).

Two years of entry-level technical experience in one or more administrative functional areas such as human resources, accounting,…
